Amazons Vs Zombies is a side-scrolling action game where the player controls an Amazon warrior facing endless zombie attacks. The game starts with the character alone on a flat battlefield, and enemies begin to appear in waves from one side. The objective is to survive as long as possible by defeating all incoming enemies using melee or ranged attacks. There are no allies or support units, and the player must rely solely on timing, movement, and attack accuracy. Each wave becomes more difficult, with enemies arriving in greater numbers or moving faster.

Basic Movement and Combat Tools

The character has simple movement capabilities, including walking, jumping, and attacking. Attacks vary depending on the version of the game but usually include a weapon such as a sword, spear, or bow. Enemies have different levels of durability, and some can be taken down in one hit while others require multiple strikes. The player’s health bar is displayed on screen and does not regenerate. If it is depleted, the session ends immediately. No levels or stages are loaded—gameplay occurs on a single static screen with no transitions or scene changes.

Gameplay Features and Session Loop

The structure of Amazons Vs Zombies revolves around short, repeatable sessions with a fixed rule set. Core features include:

  •         Left/right movement across a flat area
  •         Jumping to reposition or avoid attacks
  •         Basic attack button with limited range
  •         Incoming zombie waves that escalate in difficulty
  •         Health-based survival with no second chances

There are no inventories, maps, or story sequences. All interaction happens in real time during combat. Occasionally, temporary power-ups appear, granting effects like faster attacks or brief invulnerability. These effects expire quickly and do not carry over between sessions. The goal is to stay alive through as many waves as possible before being overwhelmed.

Enemy Design and Difficulty Progression

Zombies in the game move in straightforward patterns. Some walk slowly, giving the player time to react, while others rush forward and require quick responses. The longer the player survives, the more aggressive and numerous the zombies become. Some later enemies may be resistant to knockback or immune to jump attacks. Because the environment does not change, difficulty is introduced entirely through enemy behavior and wave density. There are no checkpoints or continue options. Every mistake leads to restarting from the first wave.
