Animatronic Memories is a first-person horror game set inside an abandoned entertainment facility. Players take the role of a former employee returning to the site after years of silence, tasked with restoring power and accessing locked data terminals. The building is partially functional, with flickering lights, broken machines, and security systems that activate as progress is made. Hidden in the structure are malfunctioning animatronics that operate on outdated routines, reacting to sound and movement with unpredictable behavior.
The game focuses on stealth and resource management. Players must monitor sound levels, battery life, and access codes to avoid triggering the attention of patrolling animatronics. Some areas require rerouting power or recovering system logs from corrupted terminals. Movement is limited by locked doors and shifting pathways, forcing players to backtrack or explore side corridors under pressure. Flashlights, decoy devices, and surveillance monitors provide short-term safety but need to be used carefully to avoid being tracked.
Throughout the facility, players uncover fragments of recorded footage, system notes, and forgotten staff logs that hint at what happened before shutdown. These pieces aren’t presented in order, encouraging players to piece together the events through environmental clues and optional terminals. The deeper into the facility players go, the more unstable the systems become, with visual distortions and mechanical sounds overlapping in real time. Animatronic Memories builds tension through threat, and through the uncertainty of how much remains buried in the building’s failing systems.
