Beneath the Blobs places players in the role of a researcher working in an underground facility dedicated to studying strange, gelatinous creatures. The job seems simple at first—observe the blobs, run tests, and report findings. Each blob reacts differently to experiments, with some showing unusual behavior that defies explanation. While the facility presents itself as a controlled environment, small inconsistencies hint that something isn’t quite right.
As the experiments continue, the research facility begins to feel less secure. The AI assistant guiding the player starts behaving strangely, withholding information and contradicting itself. Reports don’t match observations, and strange noises echo from areas that should be empty. The deeper the player goes, the more unsettling the reality becomes. The blobs aren’t just harmless test subjects—they might be far more aware than they appear.
The game shifts from routine research to a desperate attempt to uncover the truth and escape before it’s too late. Players must solve environmental puzzles, piece together clues from scattered documents, and outsmart the facility’s security systems. Every choice matters, determining whether the protagonist makes it out alive or becomes another subject in an experiment far bigger than they ever realized.
