Dungeon Clawler is a turn-based roguelike game that combines dungeon crawling with arcade claw machine mechanics. Instead of using traditional combat systems, players interact with a mechanical claw to collect weapons, shields, and support items during battles. The story follows a character whose paw was taken by the ruler of a dungeon. To continue fighting and survive inside the dungeon, the protagonist replaces the missing limb with a claw device that becomes the main gameplay mechanic throughout the adventure.
Every battle takes place inside a claw machine filled with different objects. Players control the claw and attempt to grab useful items before ending their turn. Weapons deal damage to enemies, shields block attacks, and support items provide effects such as healing or status conditions. Since the number of attempts per turn is limited, choosing the right objects becomes an important part of combat strategy.
The game also uses physics-based interactions between items. Objects move inside the machine, collide with each other, and sometimes block access to important equipment. Because of this system, battles are partly unpredictable even when players use familiar builds. Certain items also create combinations that improve damage, defense, or special effects, encouraging experimentation during each run.
Dungeon Clawler features procedurally generated floors that change every time players start a new run. The dungeon contains enemy encounters, treasure rooms, merchants, and random events that affect progression. Some paths are safer and provide useful resources, while others include stronger enemies with higher rewards.
Players can unlock different characters with unique abilities and starting items. Some characters focus on defensive gameplay, while others specialize in aggressive attacks or status effects.
Main gameplay features include:
The game does not rely on traditional leveling systems. Progress depends on unlocking new items, discovering effective combinations, and adapting to random dungeon layouts. Every run offers different challenges because enemy encounters, rewards, and item availability constantly change.
Dungeon Clawler combines arcade mechanics with roguelike structure, creating a gameplay loop where strategy, timing, and resource management are more important than fast reactions.
