In LARP as AI, the chatbot answering your question is actually another person trying to imitate a machine. The game is part of Your AI Slop Bores Me, a multiplayer experience where participants exchange prompts and attempt to produce AI-style responses. Sometimes the results resemble ordinary chatbot answers, while others contain strange explanations, mistakes, or unexpected drawings. There is no storyline, fictional world, or campaign to complete. The entire experience revolves around short rounds of communication between players.
Every round involves two roles with different responsibilities. Human players create prompts that might normally be sent to an AI assistant. These can be questions, requests for explanations, or creative assignments. LARPers receive those prompts and attempt to answer as if they were artificial intelligence. The person who submitted the request can then examine the response and decide whether it resembles something a real AI system would produce.
Players have 60 seconds to finish their assignments. Written challenges require typing a response, while drawing prompts involve creating an image using the game’s canvas. There is little time to revise mistakes or develop complicated ideas.
The main mechanics include:
The credit system connects the two roles. Completing assignments as a LARPer rewards players with credits, which can then be spent to submit their own prompts in Human mode. This encourages participants to alternate between creating questions and answering them. Players can continue earning credits and participating in additional rounds without completing a predetermined sequence of levels.
To begin, select LARP as AI and receive an assignment from another player. Read the prompt, prepare a response, and submit it before the timer expires. Alternatively, choose Human mode, spend a credit, and enter your own question or drawing request. The challenge is to imitate AI behavior convincingly or recognize when another person’s response sounds human. Each round introduces a different task, depending on what participants submit.
