LEGO Jurassic World is an action-adventure game developed by Traveller’s Tales and based on the first four Jurassic films. The game follows the storylines of Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World. It has a clear plot, but it presents the events in LEGO style, with simplified scenes, visual jokes, and playable versions of key movie moments. The player explores Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, completes story missions, solves puzzles, and unlocks characters and dinosaurs.

Four Films in One LEGO Adventure

The gameplay follows the usual LEGO game structure. The player controls human characters and dinosaurs, breaks LEGO objects, collects studs, builds useful items, and solves environmental puzzles. Different characters have different abilities, so some obstacles require a specific person or dinosaur. For example, one character may track footprints, another may dig, and some dinosaurs can break objects that humans cannot move.

In the middle of the game, the player uses exploration, collecting, and character abilities together. Main gameplay elements include:

  •         story missions based on four Jurassic films;
  •         more than 100 unlockable characters;
  •         playable dinosaurs, including large and small species;
  •         LEGO building and object breaking;
  •         puzzles based on character abilities;
  •         free-roaming hub areas on Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna;
  •         stud collection and hidden items;
  •         two-player cooperative play in supported versions.

Movie Chapters and Open Islands

LEGO Jurassic World uses a level-based structure connected to the films. The game has 20 main story levels, with five levels based on each film. These levels are accessed through free-roaming hub areas, where the player can also collect items, replay missions, unlock more characters, and explore locations outside the main story path. This means the game has both guided story stages and open areas for extra progress.

How to Play and Progress

To play LEGO Jurassic World, the player moves through each area, follows mission objectives, switches between characters, and uses the correct ability when a puzzle blocks the path. Combat is simple and usually involves hitting enemies, avoiding attacks, or using nearby objects. During dinosaur sections, the player may control dinosaurs directly and use their size or abilities to clear obstacles. In free play, previously completed levels can be replayed with unlocked characters to reach areas that were not available before.
