Tear Blocks Down lets the player design a battle before joining it. Each match begins on a block-based map where buildings, cover, units, and destructible surfaces can be combined into a custom combat situation. There is no detailed campaign or continuous storyline. Instead, players choose who will fight, prepare the surroundings, and decide whether the session will involve zombies, skeletons, armed warriors, or several opposing groups.
Construction tools can be used to place walls, platforms, barriers, and other simple structures. These objects may protect friendly units, slow enemies, or create elevated firing positions. Since parts of the environment can be destroyed, a strong defense does not remain safe forever.
Players can also shoot through obstacles or break a new opening when the normal path is blocked. This makes destruction useful for movement as well as combat. A structure built at the start of the match may gradually disappear after repeated attacks and explosions.
Characters can be added to the selected location before or during a session. Friendly archers and sword fighters may help defend an area, while zombies, skeletons, and other hostile units attempt to approach the player.
The available actions include:
There are no numbered levels that need to be cleared in a fixed order. Each map acts as a separate sandbox where the player determines the goal and difficulty.
On a computer, movement is controlled with WASD or the arrow keys, while the mouse changes the view and aims the weapon. The player can shoot with the mouse button and use Shift to sprint. Mobile controls replace these commands with a virtual joystick and separate buttons for actions such as firing, jumping, and reloading.
A session can focus on defending a structure, surviving several enemy groups, helping allied fighters, or destroying most of the map. Success depends on positioning, accurate shooting, timely reloading, and using the block environment effectively. Tear Blocks Down combines simple building mechanics with first-person battles, allowing players to create a new scenario whenever they enter a map.
