The Anomaly Project is a multiplayer game focused on detecting changes within familiar-looking environments. Each session begins at level one, and the ultimate goal is to reach level ten without making a single wrong choice. At the end of every level, players must decide which of the two available exit tubes will take them forward. Selecting the correct one leads to the next stage, while choosing the wrong one instantly restarts the session from the very beginning. This fixed and unforgiving structure defines the entire gameplay experience.

Level Design And Objective

Each level presents a location that initially appears normal. Hidden within it is a subtle or noticeable anomaly — an object in a different position, a missing element, or an altered detail that does not match the original scene. Identifying this change is the only way to determine the correct exit. The challenge lies in staying focused across all levels, as one incorrect choice sends players back to the start. There are no extra tasks or optional objectives; the focus remains on pure observation and accurate decision-making.

Cooperative Gameplay

The Anomaly Project supports both solo play and cooperative sessions for up to eight players. In cooperative mode, communication is vital, as all players must agree on which exit tube to take. The general flow of gameplay can be outlined as:
