A journey across Solaris-3 begins with a character who remembers almost nothing about their own past. In Wuwa, the player takes the role of Rover and becomes involved in conflicts caused by the Lament, Tacet Discords, and the organizations trying to protect the remaining settlements. The game combines an open-world structure with story chapters, character quests, combat challenges, exploration tasks, and regular events. Progress is connected to Rover’s search for answers and the changing situation in each region.
The world is not divided into a simple line of stages. Players can move through cities, damaged facilities, forests, coastal areas, mountains, caves, and ruins. Wall running, climbing, gliding, jumping, and the grappling tool make it possible to reach locations above and below the main roads.
Exploration provides materials, puzzles, supply chests, local quests, and combat encounters. Some areas open through story progress, while others require the player to increase the Union Level or complete a regional objective.
Battles use a party of three Resonators who can be changed during an encounter. Each character has a separate weapon, element, skill set, and combat role. Intro and Outro Skills activate when switching characters under the correct conditions, allowing the team to continue an attack without stopping.
During normal progression, players can:
Bosses often use visible attack patterns that must be learned. Correctly timed dodges create openings, while certain attacks can be parried to interrupt the enemy.
Echoes act as equipment and can also provide active abilities based on the creature they represent. Choosing the correct Echo set helps improve damage, energy recovery, healing, or other statistics. Weapons and character skills require separate materials, giving players several systems to develop over time.
