A balance of $100,000,000,000 appears at the top of Spend Bill Gates’ Money, followed by a long store containing products with very different prices. The player can use this virtual fortune without loans, income, or budget restrictions. The target is to reduce the displayed total by selecting what to buy and deciding how many copies of each item should be added to the order.
The first part of the catalog contains food, entertainment, clothing, and consumer electronics. These purchases cost between a few dollars and several hundred. Vehicles, property, commercial projects, and collectible objects appear later. Prices eventually reach hundreds of millions or several billion dollars. This arrangement shows how slowly ordinary purchases affect the balance compared with aircraft, skyscrapers, or professional sports organizations.
There is no storyline or traditional level system in Spend Bill Gates’ Money. Each product works as an independent purchasing option. Clicking Buy increases its quantity by one and reduces the available funds. Clicking Sell performs the opposite action, provided that the player already owns at least one unit. The money counter changes after every transaction, allowing spending decisions to be reviewed immediately.
The catalog contains purchases from several price ranges:
Players who want to spend quickly can purchase the highest-priced assets in large quantities. This removes billions from the account with only a few button presses. A more calculated method is to combine expensive goods with cheaper products. Large purchases handle most of the total, while items costing only a few dollars help adjust the final remainder. Unwanted transactions can be sold and replaced with another combination.
Spend Bill Gates’ Money does not use scores, combat, opponents, character upgrades, or timed objectives in its original form. The session can continue until the balance reaches zero or the player decides to begin again. Buying choices do not unlock new products because the full catalog is available from the start. The experience is based on experimentation with quantities and prices, giving players a direct way to compare daily expenses with a fortune measured in billions.
